  • Tea Fire in Santa Barbara

    43355251 43365883 43368165
To everyone that only has access to my blog and not my facebook. I want you to know that WE ARE ALL SAFE and the winds have died down. It's hard to see anything with all the smoke and ask falling. But we are safe. We are waiting to get the okay to go up the hill to see if Dj's house is livable but that area is under a mandatory evacuation. Anyway just wanted everyone to know.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! Much love!

  • A quick catch up

I am sitting in my new place in gorgeous, windy Santa Barbara and think.. I seriously need to start blogging again. So here is my attempt to update you all on the last month of my life. You may want to lie down...there's been a lot going on.

As most of you are aware we finished out the Free To Succeed Tour in Nashville, TN (one of my favorite places) on the 10th of September. Immediately after that we packed up the bus and I flew to Flagstaff, AZ to meet with other owner of Showitfast, Todd Watson, and our newest employee Jesus de la Torre. (Who I will, from now on, refer to as Gezuz or JD)

Flagstaff is seriously becoming one of my favorite places. It really is so beautiful and woodsy there. The weather when I was there was about 75 degree's, much more to my liking than the 95 degree's two hours away in Phoenix. The picture above was taken of the mountains in Todd's backyard but this picture was from a trip taken earlier this year... there was no snow for this trip. (I will posting soon about a trip I took up the mountain, as soon as I can find my stupid camera cord!)

After spend a couple of days at Todd's, meeting his wonderful wife Elisa and playing with his great kids, Keifer and Copper. I headed to Phoenix to spend a few days with my friend Jason. We had such a blast. We even picked out a little kitty for him so he doesn't get lonely.

After Phoenix, I made my way back to Santa Barbara. It is always so refreshing to walk off the plane and breath in the salty sea air. AHHH!

But getting back to Santa Barbara, meant it's time to get busy. And I had no lack of things to occupy my time. The house was needing a deep cleaning, laundry was needing to be done, continuing the search for an apartment and opening and responding to seven weeks of mail, was on the top of my list.

DJ arrived home from Canada a week early and by God's amazing timing, I found an apartment the day before the next renters showed up. (yes, we also rent out the house!) So DJ was able to live in the apartment at the house while the renters where there. And I started moving my stuff to my new place. ( I am going to share details on this and some picture in another post.)

And over the past couple weeks we have had many guests and groups in and out of the house..like a hotel. But it's been really fun to able to help DJ make his home available to whomever is the need of a place to stay the night or to use the house as a meeting place.

Well, that's the readers digest version of the last month. More posts to come including the amazing Sky Lift ride, Jason and I took in Flagstaff.. stay tuned!

  • I'm in Orlando on the tour! But more importantly....

If you all could say a prayer for my friend Jasmine and her family today it would be awesome! Her mom got news that she has a lump on her thyroid and is having a biopsy today. She's had cancer in the past and won. But please keep her in your prayers. We can all imagine how hard it would be to be in Jasmine's shoes. Shoot her a comment of encouragement on the link above.

    Thanks you!

  • 596 US Athletes in the 2008 Olympic games

    BeijingOlympics

What is it about the Olympics that bring out the US pride in us? Not matter what we disagree on or how "un" united we may feel at times. When we are put up in competition with the rest of the world, our Red, White and Blue pride starts to flow.

If you know me well, you know that I am serious about competition and almost overly serious about competitive sports!
(Which could have something to do with my present condition.) And the Olympics gives me a chance to overdose on athletic perfection, US pride and caffeine. (for those late night gymnastics and swim meets)

I am currently watching the AMAZINGLY CONSISTENT US mens gymnastics team!! I mean they are just rocking the gym floor tonight! This kid: Jonathan Horton is INCREDIBLE!! The entire team are all Olympic virgins ... at the last minute their Olympic Gold Medalist, Paul Hann, pulled out because of a broken hand. oly_a_horton_300 This team wasn't even suppose to place after Paul Hann pulled out but they competing at such and amazing level that they may pull away with the Silver. I love this stuff...breaking the odds!! LOVE IT!!!!

I'm a volleyball player and all I can say about our women's beach team: May & Walsh........ ROCK ON GIRLS!!!! They are unstoppable! Before the olympics began they haven't lost a match since October of last year!!! 121982_m03

And I can't forget the relay last night at the Ice Cube.... The men's relay last night with Michael Phelps.... winning by 8/10th of a second.... AWESOME!!!!! 41550538

oh! oh! I gotta go.... gymnastics is back on... U.S.A U.S.A!!!!!
